Which is less fattening: Salad or Fish?
In terms of calories, fish has more calories than a green salad although both are low calorie foods. Fish contain healthy omega-3 fatty acids, which are unsaturated and promote heart health as well as serving as an excellent source of protein. Salad contains vitamins A, C, a great amount of fiber, water, no fat and almost no calories. Fiber aids in the removal of wastes from the bowels and helps block the absorption of fat in the intestine. Salad promotes heart health and is rich in antioxidants.
Salads are low in calories, but ask yourself how long will it keep you full? Atleast fish will kepp you full and give more energy than a salad. On the other hand, salads are rich in fibre, and fish in protein. Both are completely different and we cannot compare these two food items.
Seeing these 2 food items over all, salads are better. But deeply, we need to know the contents of the salad and how the fish is being cooked. At times salads are cooked in a very unhealthy way, like high-calorie dressings are added, lots of salt, cheeses.... And at times fishes are cooked in a really healthy way, which can over power salads and become more healthy.
Fish is the healthest. Salmon is the best fish of all.
I think salad and Fish are the healthiest and good for the body.
