The School for Scandal contains five acts, but has one minor climax and one major climax. The minor climax is found in the famous screen scene in Act V, Scene 2, a taditional model scene for comedies. The major climax occurs in the last scene of the play when Joseph Surface is finally exposed as a scoundrel.
