eNotes contains a great deal of information about Stephen Hawking, who is a leading authority on such theories as the Big Bang. See the reference link below.
It seems nearly impossible to find a single work that is objective about both the scientific and the blblical views of the earth's or the universe's creation. The best materialistic work I have ever encountered is Richard Dawkins' The Selfish Gene, a book in which he gives a scientific explanation of the beginnings of life and its evolution up to the present time.
There are many film documentaries on DVDs which deal with the origin of the universe, the origin of life, evolution, and creationism. I have watched many as a subscriber to Netflix, and have also gotten many from the public library. I find this the easy way to learn about such matters without reading textbooks. There are many good film documentaries about Charles Darwin, including his long voyage aboard the Beagle.
I don't think that creationists are especially opposed to the Big Bang theory but that their argument is with evolution and especially with the idea that man evolved from lower animals. In other words, I think you should be looking for material on evolution versus creationism rather than the Big Bang versus creationism.
