i just went on a mission trip to mississippi and it was really moving. i made memories and made new friends as well as got a lot closer to the people i was already friends with. I just need a quote about becoming closer with prior friends and never forgetting the memories we shared.

I agree with akannan that searching the web is a great idea. One of my favorite quotation websites happens to be about friendships. Here's a link for you: http://www.friendship.com.au/quotes/
Your mission trip sounds like it was great.
I think that searching the web for quotes on friendship would be beneficial. The quotes I came up with are a mere sample. I like the first two because they are very cerebral in their approach to friendship:
"Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art... It has no survival value; rather is one of those things that give value to survival."
- C. S. Lewis
Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born.
- Anais Nin
These last three are more emotional and really hit home because they are from children's books. The first one is from E.B. White, Charlotte's Web. The last two are from A.A. Milne, Winnie the Pooh. Essentially, I feel that these books- children's books- have a way of framing things that make the essence of friendship pure and beautiful:
You have been my friend. That in itself is a tremendous thing. I wove my webs for you because I liked you. After all, what's a life, anyway? We're born, we live a little while, we die. A spider's life can't help being something of a mess, with all this trapping and eating flies. By helping you, perhaps I was trying to lift up my life a trifle. Heaven knows anyone's life can stand a little of that.
- E.B. White
Promise me you'll always remember: You're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. (Christopher Robin to Pooh)
“If you live to be 100, I hope I live to be 100 minus 1 day, so I never have to live without you.”
(Pooh to Christopher Robin)
