What's the Noble Gas & Electron configuration of the element Palladium?
I'm doing a powerpoint on this element. I did the electron configuration but I'm not sure if is right:
1s2 , 2s2, 2p6, 3s2, 3p6, 4s2, 4d10, 4p6, 5s2, 5d8
And I need the noble gas configuration.

Palladium has an atomic number of 46 and has 46 electrons orbiting the nucleus. The electronic configuration of Palladium is 1s2, 2s2, 2p6, 3s2, 3p6, 3d10, 4s2, 4p6, 4d10.
The noble gas which is lighter than Palladium is Krypton. Krypton has an atomic number of 36 and an electronic configuration of 1s2, 2s2, 2p6, 3s2, 3p6, 3d10, 4s2, 4p6.
The configuration 1s2 , 2s2, 2p6, 3s2, 3p6 ,4s2 ,4d10 ,4p6 ,5s2 ,5d8, which you have got is incorrect as you have use the 5s and 5p shells and have forgotten to use the 3d shell.
