What would you consider Dog Gone’s strengths and Weakness to be?
the information of the question is in this link below:
the other question are:
2.Assume that you were the banker that Balfour approached with his idea for prairie dog vacuming business. What question would you have asked him? Would you have approved the loan?
3.How might Balfour have convinced skeptical lenders and investors that his idea could become a profitable business?
To me, the major strength of this business is that it is unique. You can see this from the fact that he has been able to get business over such a wide area -- there is clearly no competition.
The main weakness is that it is, I imagine, a business where there is not that much opportunity for growth. It does not seem likely that there are that many people with prairie dog problems.
If I had been a banker, that's what I would have asked about -- how do you know that you are going to have enough business? I would need more information to know whether I would have approved -- what is his estimate of the demand, on what basis does he think this.
To convince people, I would think he would have needed to come up with some pretty good information about the amount of prairie dog infestation around the country. He would have needed information about how much damage they were doing because that would have given some idea as to how much you could charge to prevent the damage.
