What would be some good staging techniques?

The staging techniques you'd need to pay most attention to would be those related to the play's shifts in time/memory. These shifts could be indicated through recorded voices, through changes in light (different colors, intensities, etc.), or through designating different areas of the stage as different times. Personally, since there are lots of scenes that could or do involve sitting (driving, the dinner table, etc.), I'd want one basic seat that you transformed with lights and gestures.
