I would argue that Andrew Jackson's main personality trait or virtue was that he was a passionate supporter of what he thought the common people wanted. His desire to stand up for the common people was what really affected the things he did as president.
The best example of this can be seen in his "Bank War." Jackson felt that the Bank of the United States was being run by the rich in ways that helped them and hurt the common people. Because of this, Jackson put a great deal of effort into destroying the bank. This is one of the best-known things that he did as president.
This passionate desire to protect the common people was Jackson's main "virtue."
