The Industrial Revolution was very good for our economy. As a result of the Industrial Revolution, jobs were created. People coming to our country and people moving from rural areas to the cities had little difficulty finding jobs. The Industrial Revolution helped our economy grow and prosper.

The Industrial Revolution also helped the United States develop into a world power. We needed raw materials and resources, and by gaining colonies, we were able to get them cheaper from the colonies than by purchasing them from other countries. This allowed our industries and economy to grow more as the colonies provided a market for the finished products.

The Industrial Revolution also gave us many new products and inventions. These inventions made our lives easier. The sewing machine, mechanical reaper, and steam engine are examples of early inventions that made it easier to do work and to travel. As we moved through the 1800s and early 1900s, more inventions were developed. These inventions allowed people to have more free time since work could be done faster with the new inventions. These included the vacuum cleaning, refrigerator, and washing machine. The Industrial Revolution had many positive impacts on our country.
