The experimental data is typically reported using a combination of tables, graphs, pie-charts and images. One can use a variation of graphs to display data, such as scatter plot, area or volume graphs, etc. It is also expected that scientific data will be accompanied by error analysis, so many times error bars can be plotted along with the data. The choice of display method depends on the data and researcher's choice.

It is always a good idea to conduct multiple trials in an experiment, because one observation can be a fluke and two can be a coincidence.Three trials or triplicates is normally recommended in scientific experiments. Multiple trials will help the researcher figure out if the methodology is correct and that no other variable is influencing the experiment (other than the desirable variable). If the data varies between the trials,it may a good idea to figure out source/s of variation.
