I'm not sure exactly what you're referring to here; however, I'll take an educated guess that you might be referring to youth as powerful and being able to take the lead.  Emerson might say that youth have the future and can learn from their elders' mistakes, perhaps.  Youth can learn to focus on individuality and on learning about who they truly are and what is most important in life rather than concerning themselves with worldly riches and the trappings of other countries, etc.    Youth have the power to shape the future.
