Shakespeare's wife's name was Anne Hathaway. Shakespeare was 18 when he married her. She was 26 and pregnant. They had three children, the oldest named Susanna, followed by twins Hamnet and Judith. Hamnet died as a child, at age 11, and some critics, such as Stephen Greenblatt, contend that Hamlet is named after him.
