This is so often the difference between men and women:  the "trifles."  Music has been the solace for the troubled and lonely soul of Mrs. Wright, the only beautiful thing in a "lonesome place."  Removed from the company of other women, forced to live a quiet life of despair, Mrs. Wright's one comfort is her canary, which becomes her most valuable possession.

I suggest that to begin you need to interpret what is meant by valuable. I am not sure what you mean. In order to really understand this and be able to write it, you need to determine what you mean by value. For example, you might choose a character trait that you consider valuable and assess where it is found.

The unity of Mrs Hale and Mrs Peters in conspiring to cover up Minnie's actions gives them an important bond that will ensure they do not end up as isolated and desparate as Minnie. They show allegiance and intellect as they unravel the truth of the crime. The value is also in te respect they show Minnie.
