Aiding and abetting falls under accomplice acts. If one aids and abets he has conspired with the principal player in the commission of a crime. Intention to carry out the illegal act must be shown to sustain a conviction of A/A. Said another way, mere knowledge of the crime is not A/A. It depends on what type of crime was committed that the A/A assisted with to determine if it is a misdemeanor or felony.

Possession of stolen property is a possession crime. It is illegal to have in ones possession items that the "reasonable" person  should have known were probably stolen. Say your friend Bob came to you and said... I have this expensive  diamond watch and will sell it to you for twenty dollars. The rule is that the "reasonable" person should be suspicious that Bob would sell such an expensive item for only twenty dollars. Keep in mind that the government does not have to prove that you knew it was stolen. States differ on this though. It depends on the value of the property possessed when determining if it is a misdemeanor or felony.

Interfering with a police investigation in any fashion is a felony.
