Experts may still have differing opinions on which plant performs best in aiding memory, but one of the most exciting recent research findings has been that caffeine has a positive effect on memory loss especially that due to conditions such as alzheimers and dementia. Of course, caffeine is found in quantity in coffee so the coffee plant would be somewhere at the top. Alzheimers and dementia are conditions which cause a degenerative effect on brain tissue with devastating effects for the personality and for personal cares. So if the caffeine theory turns out to be correct, these are exciting times for scientists and health professionals - and may bode well for the future for all of us.

Of course we must bear in mind that coffee/caffeine is also a stimulant so we will have to learn to balance both negative and positive outcomes.

I am only aware of one, which I believe is the best: Ginseng

Many studies have shown that ginseng is able to reduce levels of stress in both men and women. In many clinical studies of the herb’s effects, those taking regular ginseng supplements were able to withstand higher levels of emotional and physical stress than those who had never taken the herb. In addition to its traditional role as stress fighter, ginseng has shown great promise at reducing fatigue, increasing memory and even fighting off colds, flu and other infections.

The active ingredient of ginseng is ginsenosides, which, like arginine, is believed to facilitate the release of nitric oxide in blood vessels that in turn increases blood flow to the clitoris resulting in better orgasms.

Ginseng may be found in some popular energy drinks, teas and functional foods. It is usually present in these products in subclinical doses and does not pose any measurable side effects.
