Given those reservations, my Chronological Bible provides two possible years for the Exodus. The older way of marking the time gives the starting year as 1446 BC; a more recent way of marking the dates gives the year 1280 BC as the start of the Exodus. Regardless of the starting point you choose to accept, remember that the time period of the Exodus spanned forty years as the Hebrew people traveled in the wilderness. This means the crossing of the Jordan River into Canaan occurred in either 1405 BC or 1239 BC, depending upon the method of marking the years you follow.
