In chapter 4, Scout passes the Radley Place while walking home from school. Inside the tree at the edge of the Radley yard she notices tinfoil sticking out of a knothole. Scout finds two sticks of Wrigley’s Double Mint gum (first and second item), which she tests out before chewing to make sure it is not poisonous. During the summer Scout finds another piece of tinfoil sticking out of the same tree. Behind a jewelry box she finds two Indian-head pennies (third and fourth items). In chapter 7, Scout finds gray twine (fifth item) and a few months later she finds two carved figures of herself and Jem made out of soap (sixth and seventh items). Later on, Scout finds a whole pack of chewing gum (eighth item), a broken pocket watch (ninth item), and an aluminum knife (tenth item).
