A Quick Bite by Lynsay Sands is a romance novel featuring vampire Lissianna Argeneau, a vampire of 200 years old, who looks more like a blond, attractive 26-year-old.
The novel starts with Marguerite Argeneau bringing psychologist Dr. Gregory Hewitt in the trunk of her car to her daughter Lissianna, Lissi for short, as a birthday present. But Lissi is not your normal vampire, especially not like the rest of the vampires in her family--she has a fear of blood.
However, Lissi becomes distressed at the sight of Greg's captivity, not realizing he was brought to her to help cure her of her blood phobia. Thinking her mother wants her to eat him, she frees him. But Greg winds up in captivity again when he is brought back to the Argeneau's family home to have his memory erased. Before the family has a chance to erase Greg's memories, Lissi and Greg fall in love. Since Lissi now no longer wants Greg's mind to be erased, she sets him free once more, and the two go on the run.
On the run, Greg decides he wants to be turned into a vampire so he can be Lissi's mate for life. But prior to their happy ending ever after, they are nearly killed by the priest of the homeless shelter Lissi works at as a social worker but are rescued by her family. The novel ends with the Argeneau's welcoming Greg into the vampire family.
