The staffing process begins with identifying the requirement of people for the various departments and processes of the firm.
This is followed by inviting applications from prospective candidates and a selection process where each applicant's strengths and weaknesses are looked at with reference to what is required from them.
Those selected are made aware of their responsibilities and the procedures followed where they are to work. They may also be made to undergo training to improve their understanding of the tasks they have to perform and how they have to be done.
Those who are hired have to be paid for their services.
There are routine performance evaluations which allow the management to suggest areas of improvements. If the evaluations indicate a possibility of being given a promotion; or relocation to manage another responsibility which the worker is better aligned for, that is done.
