What are some songs that are popular or commonly known that could relate to a tale of two cities?

The only thing that really comes to mind isn't particularly modern.  "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" is an anthem of righteous fighting.  It seems to me the French Revolution at least starts out that way.  Another song I think of is "We're Not Gonna Take It."  I don't know all the lyrics, but certainly that line could have been spoken by the peasants of the French Revolution.  Any other song which contains the idea of raising a fist to authority which has unjustly oppressed them would work.  If I had to guess, I'm sure rap music has this message all over the place; it's not something I know well, but it would be worth investigating, I think.

that's not really popular or commonly known (unless you live in france, which i do not). i was thinking maybe more like... stuff that's on the radio or even stuff by the beatles, queen, or some other influential band that has songs that everybody knows. or even if you could find some way that crank that relates to a tale of two cities, then you'd be my hero if you could do that... lol...
