What are some possible solutions for overpopulation?
There are two major ways to approach this.
First, we can try to reduce the growth of population. This might be done through making contraception more available to women in areas with high birth rates. We might also need to educate people in those areas about how smaller families will help them.
Second, we can try to make it easier to meet the needs of the population. Overpopulation only exists relative to the resources we have. If we can find better ways to grow food and less energy-intensive ways to give people a good quality of life, we will be able to give more people a good standard of living and we will no longer think that there is overpopulation.
