What are some ideas for a project on Cleopatra? It's hard to portray it beacuse of her Grecian/Egyptian heritage and a pyramid would be quite understated for someone as amazing and as interesting as she was. I had some ideas for the pottery jars but her tomb is not discovered!!! I'll really appreciate it if you could help!

In considering how you want to create this project on Cleopatra VII, perhaps it would be helpful to think about what you find interesting or intriguing about her. Does her role within her complex and brutal family dynamic interest you? Does the history of her unique manner of ruling capture your attention? Perhaps the larger political climate that she was involved in at the time interests you? Cleopatra was an expert of many subjects. If her great knowledge is something you find interesting, perhaps a project that focuses on the extent of her intellect and expertise is called for. Cleopatra was the "first in 300 years" of many things. Perhaps you could do a project on all the ways in which Cleopatra reinstated cultures, languages, and traditions that had not been enacted by rulers of Egypt in 300 years.

In looking for project ideas on Cleopatra VII, list what you know about her.  When looking at that list, what ideas come to mind?  I think the pottery jars could be used in that you could create your own answers without her tomb answers.  You could create a life-size cardboard cutout of her with medals or honor ribbons on her outfit listing her accomplishments.  Another idea is to create a poster board of her as the queen, and look at the political struggles of the time as she was truly ahead of her time.  You could do a family tree poster board showing the iron will needed to survive the assassination attempts, the ruthlessness she needed to kill her own sister, how her father  and then she achieved the throne.  She was a woman ahead of her time, strong, realistic, and determined.  The link may help you.
