What are some good published books (not children's) or plays i could use to make a script for humorous interp?

For a presentation, i have to cut a script from a published movie or play and present it in 3-4 minutes. I would ask that it please be funny and not an original script made for a speech competition! Thanks!

Depending on your comedic abilities, there are a number of directions to choose from on this assignment.

If you would like to do a humorous take on a work using language that sounds different today because it is old now and unfamilar, you could choose a novel like The Scarlet Letter (Nathaniel Hawthorne) or Moby Dick (Herman Melville) and emphasize the funny language of the text.

If you would rather use a book that offers a comic set of topics or a far-fetched premise or that is funny itselt, you could go with Catch-22 (Joseph Heller), Cat's Cradle (Kurt Vonnegut), SlaughterHouse-Five (Vonnegut), or White Noise (Don Delillo).

Mark Twain also wrote comedies and might be a good source for this assignment.
