What are some things included in the codes of conduct that you as a teacher expect your students to follow?

My students are required to follow a university wide honour code as well as specific departmental standards. Both are designed to maximize fairness and facilitate the creation of a positive learning environment.

Our honour code forbids plagiarism and other forms of cheating on papers and exams.

We also have standards for non-disruptive behaviour in classrooms, including turning cell phones off and not having conversations with other students or doing other things that might disrup lectures. Students are expected to  attend class regularly, be well prepared, participate productively and stay on task.

We also have official email standards. Emails must be sent from the student's university account, be polite, and include the relevant course number.
