A good marketing manager should have the following qualities.
First, a marketing manager must be good with people, since as a manager he or she will be directly dealing with people. Interpersonal skills will go a long way here. Also he or she must be a good and clear communicator, so that everyone will be on the same page.
Second, a marketing manager must know comparative products or services well. This is important, because he or she will need to find a niche for the company. Also he or she will need to price things to be competitive.
Third, a marketing manager must be good at knowing what the public wants and more importantly portraying what they want in a way that would benefit the company. In other words, he or she must have the ability to know the consumer well enough to grab the consumer's attention.
