What is the significance this quote from When the Legends Die: "When the legends die, the dreams end. When the dreams end, there is no greatness."

An illustration of the letter 'A' in a speech bubbles

The creation of legends are historically linked to dreams, fantasies, and illusions that men have had over the years. They are synergistic in that dreams help build legends, and legends encourage further dreams. When speaking about legendary personalities, they are equally inspired by dreams and fantasies as well as inspire people to dream bigger.

Therefore, when the legends die, a part of us dies with them: The part of us that aspires to great things done by those great legends dies. The part of us that dreams and hopes for the unique and fantastic dies also. Hence, when there is no desire for dreaming and creating, there is no opportunity for any personal or spiritual growth.
