This is an interesting question. There are many ways in which to answer this question. On the one hand, I would say that native literature can be about anything, as long as it is a person's own genuine voice. To limit literature just because it comes from a certain place does not seem right or desirable. What we need to do is to encourage people to write in a freely without the feeling that they need to conform.
On the other hand, as the world becomes more of a global village and local customs and practices are lost and forgotten, it would be nice for "native" literature to retain some of their own cultural and historical ideas.
With this said, the most important point (seems to me at least) is to have people cultivate their own voices.
Native Literature, according to me, should be about the natives'- their times, their culture, social, political, economic conditions. Their Experiences, their past and present. Native Literature would be best described when it exemplifies its natives' and their tradition.
For my opinion, Native Literature is the base on the developement of a country, it is sort of a combination of histroy and art together. Why would we say it's a combination of art, because even words and their combination leads to artistic Poetries,Novels,Scientific books,Fanasy books,Romantic etc.We mentioned History, becuase to create such "Atistic" books you have to look back at the very first authors and their ideas their novels their published books and study them.So Native Literature should be about studing every type of written idea,it could be a book, newspaper, magazine etc.
