What should my concluding sentence be?

Topic: Holocaust Concentration Camps

My first paragraph is about how physically demanding the labor camps were and my next paragraph is about diseases that were contracted in the camps. What would be a good sentence about how the hard labor lead to poor living conditions? In other words, what would be a good sentence to give hints to what I am going to talk about in my next paragraph?

Thanks

If you are writing three paragraphs, you will need concluding sentences for each paragraph.  Here is an outline of a paragraph:

Topic sentence

Support detail

     Explanation of the support

Supporting detail

     Explanation of the support

Reworded topic sentence ( concluding sentence)

So, after you finish the first paragraph, reword the topic sentence about the forced labor causing the inmates to exert themselves to the point of utter exhaustion.

2nd paragraph topic sentence: In this debilitated and filthy state after laboring so many hours, the prisoners returned to small, dirty, barren lodgings.  For instance, --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Reworded topic sentence:  Crowded together, dirty and emaciated, the inmates of the concentration camps met with even more deprivations. [This is what you ask for when you write a concluding sentence to lead into my 3rd paragraph]

3rd paragraph topic sentence:  Another of these deprivations was --------------------------

Then, if you wish to end your three paragraph assignment, you will incorporate all 3 topic sentences in a concluding sentence.

See the enotes site for good paragraph writing.

Okay, so you need a sentence that is going to connect these two paragraphs, right?

I think that the major connection between the hard labor and the diseases is that the hard labor, along with the lack of food and bad living conditions, made it much more likely that the people in the camps would come down with various diseases.  So I would say something like this:

The hard labor made the prisoners' lives more difficult and, more importantly, it made it much more likely that they would die while in the camp.
