S.E. Hinton's novel, 'Tex' published in 1979 is an epilogue of her 1967 novel, 'That was Then, This is Now'. These stories share a common thread of characters, themes and setting. Tex is set in the fictional, rural town of Garyville, Oklahoma and examines the lives of the same teen characters from 'That was Then, This is Now' who have since grown into adults.
