In Act V, Scene 3 of Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet,"  Friar Laurence explains "briefly" in fifty-one lines to the Prince the tragic history of Romeo and Juliet; he praises Romeo's love for Juliet in line 259 after he explains his plan to reconcile the parents with the daughter and why he has come to the vault of Juliet:

But when I came, some minute ere the time/Of her awaking, here untimely lay/The noble Paris and true Romeo dead. (V,iii,257-259)

Later, in the final lines of the play, Lord Montague eulogizes both Juliet,

There shall no figure at such rate be set/As that of true and faithful Juliet (V,iii,301-302)

and Lord Capulet returns the compliment to the Montague family as he echoes,

As rich shall Romeo's by his lady's lie/Poor sacrifices of our enmity! (V,iii,303-304)
