It is true that many people don't take women seriously. We are still at the point in our society where a woman business owner is an anomaly, unless it is a cake shop. Women might be less likely to get loans or get taken advantage of by suppliers. There are special programs for women business owners, including some loan programs, so there may actually be some advantages too.
The biggest disadvantage is that having a business is like having a child- it takes all of ones money and time. Women that have children have to manage both the business and their families. Unlike men, they will be considered bad mothers if they don't spend enough time with their children while they try to run their business.
It is fairly well known that even in the past century, women have not had equality to men in matters of politics, business, and entrepreneurship. First of all, while women for many years have been involved in business, it has not been until very recently (the past 20 years or so) that they are getting the credit they deserve for their efforts. Consider that many women worked alongside their husbands and fathers but were rarely credited (monetarily or otherwise) as partners.
As a result of the historical inequality of men and women, even today, women face hardships in the world of business and entrepreneurship that men don't. The fact of the matter is, women and men are inherently different. We approach problems differently. We communicate differently. And because business has been a typically male-dominated society, women have had to learn how to use their natural gifts and talents to break in to a "good old boys" club.
As a matter of research for your project, you might start by doing some basic searches using keywords like [successful women in business] or [business and gender differences]. I think a focus on one or two specific successful female entrepreneurs would likely give you plenty of information, especially if you can focus on their individual stories, but then relate how their stories are parallel to other business women.
Basicaly all the problems can be categarised in to 3 section as below.
Being women is the most important fact behind this issue. Woman is naturally designed to fill the sexual need of men, deliver and look after children. They are not clever in hunting (self employment) as men did. So, naturally there is a barrier for women in performing as an entrepreneur.
Women have less time to spent on business activities. They have to pay much attention on home itself . Also they are less movable than men. They can’t travel long distances & stay nights outside home .
They are lacking the support and motivation from family members and general public. Specially men are becoming against women entrepreneurs by using their full strength.
