Fitness exercise is some sort of physical activity designed to promote better physical fitness of the body. All kinds of positive correlations accompany physical exercise. The body uses oxygen more efficiently, which tends to make the mind sharper and more focused. Cardiovascular performance is greatly enhanced, increasing blood flow in, out, and around the brain. Increased blood flow means more energy for the little gray cells in the brain to process, so mental output tends to increase. Muscle tone is heightened, so even something as mudane as sitting in a desk for the duration of class is improved, because the skeletal muscles responsible for that physical activity perform better. Fitness exercise might most aptly be subtitled "mental exercise" as well, since it has so many directions it can apply to in terms of positive academic performance.
