What is the nature of Oberon and Titaina's relationship?

I think that it is, in general, fairly similar to what audiences would have expected husband and wife relationship to be like back then.  In other words, Oberon is pretty much boss in the relationship.

At the start, it seems like things are not like that.  Titania is totally refusing to submit to Oberon and to give him the changeling kid. But as the play goes on, she sort of gets put back in her place.  By the end of the play, she has given in and Oberon is back in place as the boss of the relationship.
