In the novel Walk Two Moons the main character, Salamanca (also known as Sal), discussed with her father whether her stillborn baby sister should be named after all. Sal felt that the baby deserved a name because it once was a living thing whom she even felt warm after her mother had her. When her father asked her to name the baby, it came as a suprise to Sal to come up with a name so instantaneously, since the topic of naming te baby once had been a subject of worry and anxiety when the hopes of having her were up.When she was prompted to name the baby, the name came to her lips really fast, and the name was "Tulip." Her father was content with the name.
