Through Martin Luther King Jr, people of all races were able to achieve equality. This is undoubtedly the most significant contribution he could have made to society at that time and for future generations to come. Yet there are other things that Martin Luther King Jr did as well. Through trying to gain equality for all races, MLK was focused on non violent protests and demonstrations. Through sit ins, bus boycotts, marches on Washington DC, speeches, letters, and other events, Martin Luther King Jr was able to demonstrate how demonstrations and protests could be done peacefully. He was able to show the world that violence does not always solve problems. He demonstrated to all nations that non-violence can be successful and effective.
