What is more important—the management of the human element of the organization or the management of technology?
Both of these are very important and most firms cannot prosper unless both are managed well. However, the relative importance of the two varies with the type of firm.
There are some firms for which the human element is much more important than the technological. A law firm would certainly be such an organization because the human beings are much more important than the technology in that line of work. By contrast, a manufacturing company that needs to use a large number of robots would place more importance on the technological side.
Most firms, though, need to manage both well in order to thrive.
