Note that median is the middle number of a given set of data.

To find the median, arrange the numbers in increasing order.

So,

1, 0 , 0 , 0 , 0 , 0 , 8 , 1 , 1 , 2

becomes

0 , 0 , 0 , 0 , 0 , 1 , 1 , 1 , 2 , 8

Since the number of data given in this set is ten, which is an even number, to get the median take the sum 5th and 6th data. And divide it by 2.

``

Hence, the median of 1, 0 , 0 , 0 , 0 , 0 , 8 , 1 , 1 , 2  is `1/2` .

To get the median, arrange all the numbers in order, in this case, you should have:

0 0 0 0 0 1 1 1 2 8

Usually, you just have to get the middle term, but since you have an even number of terms, you will l have to get the mean of the two middle terms - 0 and 1 - so that you get [0 + 1]/2 = 0.5

The median is the middle but first you have to put them in order

1,0,0,0,0,0,8,1,1,2 to 0,0,0,0,0,1,1,1,2,8 The median is in between 0 and 1 and the middle of 0 and 1 would be 1/2

we have an even amount of numbers, the median is 0 and 1 so add them and divide by 2

1+0=1/2=.5
