There are two different areas in which there are border disputes between India and China.  One is in the northwest of India and the other is farther to the southeast.

The one in the northwest is in a place called Aksai Chin.  It is seen by India as a part of the province of Jimmu and Kashmir.  China sees the area as part of the Xinjiang Autonomous Region.  This area borders Tibet on the Tibet's west.

The area of dispute that is further to the southeast is called South Tibet by China.  India calls it part of the state of Arunachal Pradesh.  This area's western border is with Bhutan.  On its north it is bordered by Tibet and it touches Myanmar in its southeastern part.
