The model takes into account quantum mechanics, which is a very solid framework developed for describing how the world works at a small scale. For this reason, the electron cloud model is the best model we have so far and its predicted values haven't shown any big deviations from the ones obtained experimentally.

It would be better to look at the current limitations of quantum mechanics. To do so, you would need to look at things like space-time singularities (locations near black holes, for example). At such places, all of our framework (general relativity and quantum mechanics) seem to fail, indicating that our theories aren't a perfect model (such a model may be never achievable).
