The likely effect of these inequities is that the African American community will become more stratified with things getting much worse among lower class African Americans.  Lower class black men will continue to go to jail in disproportionate numbers.  This will make it harder for them to get any kind of jobs when they get out and it will make them less attractive as marriage partners.  This will lead to even more single-parent households and even more poverty in the lower strata of the black community.  This will widen the gap between lower class African Americans and those in the middle and upper classes.
