The popular theory that dinosaurs would have been gone due to an asteroid impact with Earth, about 65 million years ago, was abolished.

According to Professor Gerta Keller from Princeton University, to blame for the extinction of the dinosaurs and many groups of mammals in the Cretaceous is not the asteroid fallen in Mexico, but some very powerful volcanic eruptions.

In other words, at least some dinosaurs had been survived to the freezing occurred after the fall of the asteroid, which would have been caused volcanic eruptions that have contributed to change of the climate.

Recent history has shown that the theories about the extinction of prehistoric animals can be argued against. It is relevant the case of Coelacanthus Latimer, the prehistoric fish, about it was believed that it has disappeared over 70 million years ago, or Wollemia Nobilis, the real dinosaur of the plant world, whose extinction ought to be, according to researchers, by almost 150 million years ago. Both life forms were discovered, or better said, rediscovered, in the twentieth century, turning upside down the theories of scientists,of 150 years old. And if Coelacanthus Latimer and Wollemia Nobilis have survived to the mass extinction of 65 million years ago, why do not do it and other living creatures, namely their contemporaries?

There was no little surprise when researchers have identified in some drawings, since about 500 - 1500 years ago, detailed representations of dinosaurs considered disappeared from millions of years ago.

What is even more surprising is that the huge reptiles were represented in the company of humans,in domestic scenes,  or scenes of battles, where warriors were facing another giant reptiles. Dr. Javier Cabrera, representative of the Cultural Center of Anthropology of Peru, says that no less than 1,100 of such stones have been discovered until now, although only a few of them have pictures of dinosaurs.
