Gloria Anzaldúa's book Borderlands/La Frontera: The New Mestiza is a classic work in Latin American and Mestizo studies in which Anzaldúa sets out to shed light on what it means to identify as a mestiza living in la frontera—the borderlands. An interesting aspect of this book is how Anzaldúa reinforces the notion of a border existence through the title of the book and how the chapters are constructed.
