In The Adventures of Hucklebery Finn, what is ironic about Pa's holding Huck against the wall?

Pa uses the small cabin to keep Huck trapped, to wall him in.  To Pa, the walls represent his control over Huck.  What Pa doesn't know, is that Huck will shortly be crawling through a hole he cuts into the wall on his way to freedom.
