Titans Prometheus and his brother Epimetheus were given the task of creation by Zeus.  Epimetheus gave the world everything but man.  Prometheus created man from clay, but because Epimetheus had already given all the gifts, Prometheus didn’t know what gift to leave with man.  He decided to give man fire.  Zeus was against this idea so Prometheus stole the fire from the gods and told his brother never to take any gift from Zeus, or any of the gods.    After telling Epimetheus not to accept any gifts from Zeus he tricked Zeus.  He told men to always burn sacrifices to the gods in thanks, but Zeus had chosen mistakenly chosen bones wrapped in fat while the men were left with the meat.  Zeus got mad and became jealous of men because he got sacrificed bone.  He took back the fire but Prometheus was able to steal it back from the forge of Hephaestus.

To get even Zeus and the other gods created a woman named Pandora and offered her to Epimetheus.  Epimetheus forgot all about the order that Prometheus had given him and accepted the gift of “woman” from the gods.  Trouble between men and women has continued ever since.
