What are ideas for Revolutionary War metaphors? For example: the revolutionary war is like a police officer. If war was like a police officer, what would handcuffs represent?

Metaphors for the Revolutionary War:  1.  If the Revolutionary War were a shower, what would the soap represent?  2.  If the Revolutionary War were a divorce, what would the husband and wife represent?  3.  If the Revolutionary War was a symphony score, what would the crescendo represent? 4. If the Revolutionary War was an avalanche, what would the snow ball represent?  5.  If the Revolutionary War was an explosion, what would the spark represent?  6. If the Revolutionary War was a hurricane, what would the eye of the storm represent?  7.  If the Revolutionary War was a large river, what would the tributaries represent?  8.  If the Revolutionary War was a carpenter, what would the hammer represent?  9.  If the Revolutionary War was a boxing match, what would the promoter represent?
