What have Jack (Lord of the Flies), Beatty (Fahrenheit 451) and Mustapha Mond (Brave new World) in common?
Jack, Beatty, and Mustapha Mond are each "dictators" in their own right. Each of the characters fulfill the role of the antagonist in each of the novels, and each are necessary for the protagonist's struggles. As Jack controls his gang of hunters, Beatty controls his group of firemen, and Mustapha Mond oversees all of the Brave New World. They are each "controllers" in their own right. They each are very aggressive at controlling and handling knowledge that might topple or weaken their regime.
