Auk 22 was the first rocket with actual zincoshine fuel.  The boys were pretty excited about it and thanks to the publicity of the paper, apparently there were about 200 people there to witness the launch.  The fuel was clearly very, very powerful as it vanished from the launch pad at the moment of ignition.  The boys couldn't even follow it because it shot up so fast.  Thankfully the boys were able to get the actual time the rocket was aloft on a stopwatch so that they could measure how high it travelled.

The barrier they broke was the mile barrier, which they were obviously very excited about.  Of course they started then talking about the 30 mile barrier and getting into actual space!
