Auk XXIIb was going to be used to measure the actual power of the zincoshine propellant.  In order to do this, they borrowed the scale from the butcher shop and designed an apparatus they thought would help hold the rocket in place while they fired it so that the thrust would pull down on the scale and give them a number.  It ended up dragging the scale all over the pad and into the woods and destroying it.

AukIIc was designed for the same purpose but they ended up using Homer's mother's scale.  At first this one was successful but it ended up jack-hammering the scale to bits.  Luckily O'Dell was able to find a new scale to replace it.
