"Twilight" would be listed in the genre of young adult literature, fiction, and Romance.  Some people will try to list it in Gothic Romance, but most libraries and book stores do not have it marketed in that area. It is definitely more Romance than Gothic.  The climax is when James attacks Bella begins to rough her up. Just before he goes in for the kill Edward and the Cullens arrive and save her life. The Major Themeis the romance between Edward the vampire and Bella the human. The Minor Theme is the conflict between the tracker, James, and his desire to kill Bella.

Twilight is a young adult fantasy romance novel.

Climax: The peak event of the book would be when Bella is caught by James, the tracker, and she faces a near death experience.

Major theme: You could argue that it's Mortality VS Immortality. Throughout the book Bella struggles with figuring out what Edward is and if she can accept it while Edward is in a constant self conflict about whether or not to get involved with Bella and put her humanity at risk in the hands of his immortality.

Minor Theme: Danger as a minor theme could be argued for minor theme. The only real occurrence with danger would be when Bella was followed by a couple of guys while she was on a trip and when she encountered James. However the theme of Danger seems to be allured towards throughout the book.
