Well, look at it this way: what would resisting globalization look like? In my opinion, this is a process that is already well underway, is central to many national economies by this point and seems to be irreversible in the short term. The world has grown and become more economically interdependent in the last 20 years and there is no reason to believe that trend will not continue.
So it's hard for me to advise embracing something that is already an historical fact. By comparison, should I embrace the Sun? I guess I don't have to, but it's going to continue existing and functioning whether I do or not. I think globalization has reached that point, and our central question now should be how do we make the process and its effects more humane and survivable for more people in this world, and limit the environmental damage expanding economies can do.
The more global we become, the faster the world's natural resources are exhausted.
